What To Do On Your Day Off...

video
I was blessed with an unexpected day off today...but, as usual, I don't know how to "take it easy!" I think part of the reason is that I am a freelancer and pretty much make my own schedule other than the dance classes I teach and rehearsals I run regularly. So, I work round- the- clock from home, and because it's a home-office, work never goes away! It stares me in the face, and I think I need to learn to "separate." I was dragging my feet yesterday because of my increasingly fast paced & long work days , and you would think that I would relax right? I always feel I need to be productive, otherwise my day is a waste. Who feels this way? What do you do on your days off? Work? Play? I want to know, please leave a comment below!

I feel very much the same way in terms of just exactly how someone just "takes it easy.." Never-the-less on *unexpected* days off I often spend the morning working (I know its a day off but I just can't help it), the rest of the day getting out, exercising, running errands, etc...doing the stuff that you never get to do during a weekday. Why not end a busy productive day to oneself w/ the company of friends and some fine dining?

Just my 2-cents, keep up the great work G!

Well I am having a similar day and know how you feel. Fridays are my easier work days and after i get up and teach 2 early am classes i think, GREAT, lets keep the energy up and tackel my ToDo List. I get home with good intentions, sit down to check email, and before you know it i just feel like playing on the computer, chating with friends, and catching up with my DVR. I think when one feels this way (once in a while, NOT EVERYDAY) its a sign to take that break. Its not like you are a lazy person or should feel guilty, its your bodys way of sayin "RELAX, YOU DESERVE IT!!" so.... Relax G, you deserve it!

If you want to be productive, you must also learn how to take a little time off for yourself to quiet your brain and nourish your spirit. This way, when you go back to your regular schedule, you feel refreshed to start your day with more enthusiasm.
Peace and Love.

Hi Geeg,
I don't know what your problem is...why don't you learn something from your little sister, and take some naps and then go out with your friends, have a huge delicious meal, some drinks, and then indulge in a really guilty dessert.
Love you!
