In recent months Massimo Phillipy, son of Kyle and Josephine Phillipy of Termini Pizza in New Jersey, was unexpectedly diagnosed with a rare disease known as Adrenoleukodystrophy. ALD is a neuro- degenerative disease that affects one in 20,000 children in the United States alone. It is a disorder characterized by progressive brain and central nervous system deterioration. This disease is "a parent's worst nightmare."

Massimo is in need of a bone- marrow transplant. Bone marrow transplantation is the only known treatment that can stop the progression of this disease. There are limited facilities that specialize in this rare disease. The Children's Hospital of Minnesota can help Massimo in this fight for his life. Therefore, Massi and his family will be relocating to Minnesota for an undetermined amount of time. They may incur financial hardships beyond their means that will add on to their emotional stress. Please help us alleviate some of the financial burden placed on this family. A non- profit organization, MASSIMO AGAINST ALD, INC., has been created to help this family and Massimo fight ALD. The moment you've been waiting for...

So, now that I've got my computer up and running like it should again, I present to you the G-Volution America's Best Dance Crew video....

Yes, this is part of what we performed at the audition for America's Best Dance Crew. Like I mentioned in the first post about ABDC, G-Volution is not a "crew"- we're a dance company with a very eclectic style that performs everything from musical theater, hip hop, jazz, tap, lyrical and Latin. For that reason, I didn't consider this audition until one of ABDC's casting producers from LA contacted me and asked me to bring G-V0lution in for an audition appointment. It sounded attractive especially since we didn't have to wait on that long line outside to be seen, and plus they contacted ME.....

Well, needless to say I don't think that G-Volution is what they were looking for. But, we did make for some interesting footage in contrast to the rest of the groups that shared more of a common ground. We're grateful for the opportunity, and as of now...no, we will not be competing on America's Best Dance Crew, but we may be seen briefly in the first episode. Should there be an "America's Best Dance Company"....... we're there! ;-)

Bad Day Solution

So....if you read my last post you know that I didn't have such a pleasant day yesterday, and also today due to major computer issues that corrupted some programs of mine. I won't go on to explain how infuriated I have been with my computer down- time, but rather demonstrate what you should do when faced with a bad day like mine....

*A Note on the G-Volution America's Best Dance Crew video: because my Adobe Premire Pro software was corrupted, I am unable to use it and "capture" the video from my awesome Sony camera. I can only use the webcam. Once the program gets reinstalled (from somewhere other than a cd I no longer have), I will be able to put that footage together for your viewing pleasure :) Until then my friends, I leave with today's lesson- don't use Limewire. Ever.

Writing to you from my humble laptop while my workhorse desktop is being worked on by the Geek Squad.....

Have you ever been in a majorly bad mood, so bad that it ruins the rest of your day? Yep- that's me right now. My computer had 22 viruses and I got Geek Squad to fix it. Now, all I know is that I am getting way too many error messages, and my Adobe Premiere Pro video editing program is not working and I have to reinstall it along with my printer, my webcam and my usb drives. I don't know where all these program cds are since I installed them ages ago....All my settings are messed up.....GRRRRRRRRRRRRRR! SO ANNOYING.

What does this mean to you? No G-Volution video yet, because I can't upload the thing! Sorry peeps, I had to complain to someone, and I guess its you this time. I love you all my dear readers/viewers & fans :) See that made me smile, thanks to you reading this. xoxo

Ok, I'm really sorry for the crankiness, but real G will be back soon I promise! And if there are any techies out there reading this- I need your advice on how to NOT let this happen again!
