#140Conf

I was a "Character" at the 140 Characters Conference in NYC this week along with numerous other Tweeps from all over the world. Amongst a sea of laptops, we gathered at New World Stages in NYC for a two day conference discussing the "state of NOW" in social media and how it affects our world today.

Speakers included Wyclef Jean, Gary Vaynerchuk, Liz Strauss, Jim Jones and many other characters who talked about how Twitter plays a part in numerous industries and our society. Some discussed opinions on "how" to use Twitter effectively in business, marketing, and even personally. Not so sure I agree with the instructional part on how to use twitter- I think that is a personal choice. However, I think we can all agree that authenticity is a characteristic that is appreciated and applauded on Twitter along with honesty and passion.

The coolest part of the whole conference was connecting with my Tweeples! I got to meet some whom I've been virtual friends with for quite some time IRL (in real life). ;-)
